Kathryn Seidlitz serves Phoenix House Texas as Prevention Director in Austin. Her background is in early childhood education, where she taught preschool for more than 20 years before transitioning into administrative roles. Prior to entering the prevention field, Kathryn also gained experience in substance use treatment while working at a residential treatment facility. She joined PHT in the summer of 2024 as a Prevention Specialist.
Kathryn brings valuable personal insight through her own recovery journey, and she considers her sobriety the most meaningful part of her life. Her dedication to youth and her passion for prevention are reflected in her commitment to educating young people on communication skills, healthy relationship-building, substance misuse awareness, and mental health.
Outside of her work at PHT, Kathryn enjoys reading, crafting, and playing the violin.
