Join the Region 6 Prevention Resource Center for Prevention by the Book: Essential Terminology for Practice and Certification, a foundational, in-person training designed to strengthen prevention specialists’ understanding of core prevention terminology, acronyms, and professional language used in daily practice and on the Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS) exam. Participants will explore key concepts across prevention domains, clarify commonly used acronyms, and learn how precise language supports ethical practice, effective communication, and data-driven decision-making. This training helps prevention professionals “speak prevention” with confidence while aligning their work with evidence-based standards and certification expectations.
