Partner Event | Dual Realities; One Response Summit
Join our Community Partner organization, Harris County Public Health, for the Dual Realities; One Response Summit on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 9 AM – 2:30 PM in Houston, Texas.
For too many people, substance use and mental health are treated as separate problems—even when they show up together in the same person, at the same time. The result is fragmented care, missed opportunities, and outcomes that fall short of what’s possible. This event is dedicated to changing that. It brings together behavioral health professionals, community partners, advocates, and individuals with lived experience to confront the intersection of substance use and mental health head-on. Together, we’ll explore practical strategies for integrating care, strengthening cross-system collaboration, and advancing recovery-oriented, person-centered responses to co-occurring disorders. This event will focus on what it takes to reduce stigma, elevate lived experience, and build coordinated approaches that improve access, engagement, and outcomes — not in theory, but in the day-to-day work of the systems that serve our communities.
