Susanna Huffman, LPC, LCDC, NCC

Susanna Huffman is a licensed professional Counselor and licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor.  Susanna began working in the field of addiction and mental health treatment beginning in 2012.  At Phoenix House Texas, Susanna has served as a counselor, clinical assessor, and clinical supervisor.

Susanna has extensive experience with both adolescent and adults struggling with trauma, family systems, and co-occurring diagnoses.  Susanna completed her undergraduate degrees in both psychology and human development & family studies from Colorado State University.  After moving to Texas, Susanna continued her education receiving a Master’s in professional counseling from Southern Methodist University.  Susanna has overseen multiple residential and outpatient substance abuse programs while enacting new curriculums, developing family education programs, and implementing trauma informed care approaches for the treatment of substance use disorders.

In her free time Susanna enjoys teaching and practicing yoga, watching documentaries, traveling, and the outdoors.
