

Stephanie Grogan, M.S., LPC, LCDC, NCC, CCTP

Stephanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, a National Certified Counselor, and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. At Phoenix House, Stephanie has served as a Residential Counselor, the Quality & Development Supervisor, and Program Manager prior to serving as the Program Director.
Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in English Writing & Rhetoric but realized that her passion for helping others process their stories ran deeper than simply writing and editing. Stephanie went on to earn her Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University (SMU), where was active in SMU’s Association of Student Counselors as Treasurer and later as President, coordinating volunteer opportunities, student mentoring, and community trainings and events.
She has experience treating adolescents and adults with substance use, mental health, and relational concerns. She has experience providing individual, family, and group counseling as well as crisis intervention and case management services. Stephanie uses talk therapy, activity therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is an effective evidence-based approach to treating trauma. Additionally, she has experience providing support for conducting clinical audits as well as leading trainings on motivational enhancement strategies and recognizing signs of substance abuse in adolescents.
In her free time, Stephanie enjoys cycling, improv comedy, and traveling.
