DESCRIPTION:Join us on Friday\, April 25\, 2025 from 1:05-2:35 PM at the Texas Mental Health Counselors Association (TMCHA) Spring 2025 Conference to hear from PHT’s CEO\, Drew Dutton\, M.Ed.\, MBA\, MAPP\, LPC-S\, LCDC\, ACPS. Drew will be presenting Project Empathy: Utilizing Positive Psychology and Strengths-Based Interventions. Attendees will learn practical applications of positive psychology and strengths-based interventions in treating addiction. This session covers effective\, evidence-based approaches\, common misconceptions\, and harmful practices to avoid. Attendees will gain insights into the unique challenges of treating substance use disorders and what research reveals about successful methods.\nLecture with active Q&A and some brief discussions on: \n\nAddiction Neuroscience and Its Impact\nBarriers to Effective Treatment\nKey Lenses to Utilize\nEffective Practices and What Works: Positive Psychology Principles\n\nThe TMHCA Spring 2025 Conference is being held in-person in Kerville\, Texas as well as virtually. Conference registration costs are: \n\n$82 for Graduate Students/Associates\,\n$99 for TMHCA members\, and \n$142 for non-members (does not include dues)\n\nTMCHA is a Division of the Texas Counseling Association (TCA).
